Happy New Year!🎉🎉🎉 May 2022 bring you all the joy in the world! I celebrated New Years Eve with this amazing group of friends and fireworks on the Brisbane River💖 How did you spend yours? Bonus points to them for letting me (mostly) dress them in my sequins😆 _____ 1st photo: selfie of Louise in a red sequin dress, with the Brisbane River view in the background. 2nd photo: 5 women dressed in sequins on a balcony overlooking the river ____ #brisbaneanyday #brisbanecity #viewsofbrisbane #brisbaneriver #newyearseve #psstyle #psootd #brisbanestyle #brisbanefashion #curvyau #sequinstyle #eloquii #sequindress #happynewyear #plussizestylewatch #psfashion

'Tis the season to wear Christmas outfits and look at lights😍 Went to The Enchanted Garden at Roma Street Parkland last night and it's gorgeous! Now I've decided I need to recreate it in my backyard all year round! Have you been out looking at lights yet this season? . . . Is it even Christmas if you don't sit on the floor at a shopping centre for the backdrop? OK, I'm cheating. This is a last year photo but I couldn't let the start of Christmas outfit season pass without a post! It's the most wonderful (cheesy) time of the year. I've been absent from posting on the gram the last few months. There's a range of reasons. Some good - like the major podcast project I've been working on over the last year is ready to release next week and I've been working so hard on it and am so proud; and some not so good - like feeling like I didn't have the mental health capacity to create additional content after that because of more personal things that were going on in my life that drained my energy like a relationship ending, and finding answers to my questions around identity, worth and value etc. I'm also really appreciative to anyone who checked in on me during this time. Sometimes I wasn't OK when you asked and it made a difference in darker moments to know someone cared. So I don't have a bonanza of Christmas content lined up this year sadly. But I do have a couple of new Christmas looks to shoot and a whole heap of authenticity and vulnerability to share. 💖 P.s. you'd be doing me a favour if you dropped me an emoji comment so that I can get out of the non posting algorithm jail😬😂
PSA: If you've been on on zoom call with me you'll recognise this print, because it's my absolute favourite throw on for meetings 😄 And not only is it on sale right now, but my the lovely team at @kholo_thelabel also gave me an extra discount code for a further 20% off. And because they are legends at making me feel good that code is 'LOUISEISABABE'. For sizing, I'm in the 26 here and I could've sized down 1 or 2 sizes because it is a very relaxed fit. The material also relaxes further as you wear it. It is a soft Modal fabric which is very breathable (perfect for qld weather) and always get compliments when I wear it in real-life. Happy shopping!
This is what anxiety looks like. I once was having a conversation about mental health with someone I'd only just met and I told them that I experience anxiety. They said to me: 'You don't look like someone who struggles with mental health'. There was no intentional malice in that, just an unintentional lack of awareness and education. What do YOU think anxiety and/or depression look like? Portrayals in movies or tv will often make it seem like if you struggle with mental health you are either 'crazy' or crying, paralyzed sadness, and unable to function - but that's not true. People who struggle with anxiety look like me, and they look like your colleagues, and they look like your friends. Sometimes we hide it from people in our lives, sometimes we get overwhelmed, sometimes we experience anxiety and panic attacks, sometimes we cancel plans or don't reach out to people we care about because we feel like we wouldn't be fun to be around. Mental health is something that manifests differently for everyone. For example, for me, I can feel confident speaking in front of thousands of people, but struggle with 10 people at a party. My point on this R U OK day, is to tell you to check in with people you care about, even if you think they LOOK fine, every day. Any day. Encourage open dialogue and non judgemental conversations about mental health everyday, not just on R U OK day. Help normalize the topic. Your sphere of influence is greater than you imagine and you never know who you might help. 💛 [Louise is wearing a blue sequin dress, standing in front on a blue sky mural. Isn't it amazing when you find some place special for the first time? I was going through my camera roll and found the photos we snapped the day we went to the Botanic Gardens at Mt Tamborine. Most of the gardens were what you would expect but this walkway was filled with the most amazing autumnal trees and leaves. It's not the kind of sight you usually see in QLD. I felt like I should be sipping a pumpkin spice latte (you also don't find those in QLD😄) plus I got to play in the leaves with the brush turkey. What places have you stumbled onto and fallen in love with? ____ Pants @pqcollection_ Top @bestandless Cardi - stolen from photographer Shoes @kmartaus [Louise wearing navy pants, a white tshirt and a long navy cardigan with rusty red shoes. The irony that this cat jumper is completely covered in cat hair is not lost on me. It's actually probably a good thing social media doesn't yet come with smell, because I bet I lowkey smell like cat all the time and I just don't notice it😆 Earlier today they made me hand feed them one of those squeezy treat tubes. They do their delicate little licks while I stand there for 5 minutes awkwardly holding fish mush in a packet. 😺 I'm sure I'm not the only one who is a slave to their pets tho - Who's the boss in your house? ---- [Louise is leaning up against a blue wall. I've been busy today behind the scenes starting preproduction on a podcast that I've wanted to create for the longest time, but wasn't yet emotionally ready for. Well, now I think I am. Giving you my best fully vaxxed vibes😎 I genuinely never thought I'd be this relieved to be immunised.I mean, I had a milestone birthday like 2 weeks ago and honestly I'm more excited to have had the vaccine on Thursday 😆 I managed to escape the side effects for my first dose but the second had me spend most of the weekend in bed. A trade I would make every single time, instead of covid. How was your weekend? _____ [Louise is wearing a black off shoulder top and rainbow mesh skirt and standing in front of a red sequin wall.]
